Play Powers Performance

Why embracing play can make for a great offsite

We think that down-time is important. We think play is important. We think a great offsite is a blend of work and play. When work is fun – it’s more productive. More ideas, more plans, more fire in your belly.

Children are encouraged to play. We know it aids their development. It makes them more rounded, more social, more imaginative. So why does all that have to stop when we start our careers?

Dr Stuart Brown is a researcher in play. He even founded the National Institute of Play.

Take a look at this TED talk.

Dr Brown looks at what play does for the brain and why he believes like us that it goes beyond a work/ play balance. To light up your brain and get the most out of life, play and work should be as close together as possible.
