Setting The Right Tone: The Session Grid
We’ll sit down with you and help you figure out exactly what you’re looking for.
Once your offsite objective is defined, then it’s probably time to start thinking about what some of the sessions should look like.
Maybe it’s all team building or maybe it’s all work? Or maybe it’s a bit of a blend.
How much unstructured downtime should there be?
And what should the sessions look like?
The session grid helps you think about the right blend between content (WHAT?) and process (HOW?).
Inspirational speakers are at the far/WHAT end of the grid. They could be delivering a great speech about winning against all the odds or their 4 year run up to Olympic gold – this would be at the content/WHAT end of the spectrum. Whilst a great facilitator helping groups get to grips with chosen topics and ideas is at the other end of the spectrum- the process/HOW end.
And in the middle there’s a blend of WHAT and HOW. Our immersive team building exercises sit squarely in the middle – with lots of learning and lots of team interaction going on. With the ultimate goal – how do we work as a team to win?
And to the right of centre are our creative team building sessions where there’s lots of creative team output coming forward. Teams are essentially given a blank sheet of paper to deliver their best result. How are they going to collaborate and come up with something amazing?
And slightly to the left of centre are speakers with direct read-through and ideas for you and your team. They’ll be taking a lot of their learning and experiences to hopefully convince your team that there’s real merit in what they do.
We can help you with all of this and the session grid is a great way of thinking about what you’re looking for. We call it setting the right tone.
